Welcome to
Hope Valley
Cyber Scouts
What is Cyber Scouts?
Cyber Scouts is a special part of Hathersage Scout Group, which we have set up to help you continue Scouting while our groups in the Hope Valley are not meeting for a few months during the height of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation.

As leaders, we think it is important that you, our Beavers, Cubs & Scouts are able to continue doing what you love, even thought Scouts and school might be closed and give you the chance to earn even more badges!

Cyber Scouts is a special digital section we've made, which all members of 1st Hathersage Scout Group and 1st Bradwell Scout Group automatically become a member of. Because we are not meeting each week, we have created lots of activities for you to do, on your own, with your family or online.
Why Aren't We Meeting?
You may have heard of the "Coronavirus" or COVID-19. This a type of flu, or bad cold, which lots of people are catching. For healthy, young people like you, it is not dangerous, but you might get poorly and so people are trying not to go out too much, to help stop it spreading, particularly to elderly people. There is some more information about the virus on the Beaver, Cub & Scout Cyber Pages....
What Should We Do?
While we all wait to get back to Scouting, we have created some very special activities for you to do at home, so you can continue to earn badges and learn new skills.
Follow the link below to your section and have a look around:
Staying Safe

You have probably heard about the Coronavirus by now. It is a virus which has spread around the world and lots of people have caught it, a bit like a cold or the flu going around your school class. You can find out a bit more by clicking on safety worker icon below:
Stay Safe!
What else can we do?

There are also some great activities here, which don't necessarily go towards a badge, but look great fun! We hope you'll have a go at some of them.

Maybe keep a diary of all the activities you've done during this time to show us next time we meet...
